Fistful of Nu-Yen

Our cyberpunk variation on FoKF. Here are some shots taken ‘the morning after’. We ran four crews, two Criminal types (Voodoo 8s and Lenser’s Fiduciary Services) versus the Law. (NKPD and Nairobi Investigation)

It was a straight up ‘centerfield slugfest’ so there is no real AAR worth writing. We did add a House rule that a Protagonist could issue an Order/One Action to an Extra at a cost of Two Successes during Reaction. Worked out well, as it gives Extras a chance to shift to better positions. There were a couple Turnovers, but turns One and Two saw both sides advancing cautiously. Bullets started snapping through the air turn Three. Four saw lots of Chi spent in a Do or Die effort by the criminals to carry the day by sheer violence. The Law responded in kind and prevailed through superior firepower and some good rolls.

End of the night, both the V8s and LFS were down to single models, while the Law’s use of cover paid off. Lieutenant Kanada and Nairobi gave the surviving thugs a chance to surrender peacefully. They conceded and  were quickly taken into custody.

  1. These are awesome miniatures. Great paint job

    1. Thanks. Great miniatures are always easy to paint. And they make my brush-fu appear better than it is.

  2. This is really cool. Instantly reminds me of my Shadowrun playing days. You need a couple of Street Mages to go with all those Cyber Samurai!

    1. Street Mages… Yes, the trick is finding suitable figs! I have a decent one from the (otherwise underwhelming, IMO) Rezolution line. Any suggestions?

      1. Sorry no, but I’ll keep an eye out!
